There is a perception in Germany that there is an overemphasis on academics and a lack of focus on craftsmanship. This is due to the country's strong emphasis on higher education and the prestige associated with academic qualifications. However, there is also recognition of the importance of skilled trades and craftsmanship in maintaining the country's strong manufacturing sector. Efforts are being made to promote vocational training and apprenticeships to ensure a balance between academics and craftsmanship in Germany. **

In general, there is no significant difference between the terms elevator and lift, as they are often used interchangeably to refer to a platform or compartment that moves vertically within a building. However, in some regions, "elevator" is more commonly used in American English, while "lift" is more commonly used in British English. The term "lift" can also refer to the action of raising or moving something upwards, whereas "elevator" specifically refers to a vertical transportation device for people or goods. **
